Top Leader Board
A top leader board ad is squarely within the prime “above the fold” screen real estate. These 728 x 90 ads appear on both category (topic) pages and on the actual tip (article) pages. (IAB add classification: leader board.)
- On topic pages, the top leader board ad appears just below the breadcrumbs and above the main body of the page. This is the premier spit on topic pages.
- On article pages, the top leader board ad appears just below the breadcrumbs and above the article title, right where a reader’s eyes first look when reading.
Article Body
An article body ad is placed near the top of each tip (article) page, at either the left or right side of the page. Article text will wrap around the article body ad. This 336 x 280 ad appears in prime screen real estate, in the coveted “above the fold” position. (IAB add classification: large rectangle.)
Bottom Leader Board
A bottom leader board ad is placed at the bottom of each page on which it appears, just above the page footer. (The navigation and/or copyright information at the bottom of the page.) In most cases, the bottom leader board will be just below the final content for the page. These 728 x 90 ads appear on both category (topic) pages and on the actual tip (article) pages. Navigation Skyscraper
A navigation skyscraper ad is placed at the right side of every page on which it appears, in the navigation area of the site. Generally, a navigation skyscraper appears just below an in-house text advertisement or subscription offer. These 120 x 600 ads appear on all pages in the site. (IAB add classification: skyscraper.)
Navigation Sponsor
A navigation sponsor ad is placed at either the left or right side of every page on which it appears, near the bottom of the navigation area of the site. These 120 x 90 ads appear on all pages in the site. (IAB add classification: button 1.)

These costs are a flat rate, per month, paid in advance. The impressions are representative of an analysis of the March 2009 log files. While they can be considered typical of page views on the site, in all liklihood the number of impressions will be higher than what is shown. That being said, there is no guarantee as to the number of impressions that will be displayed, nor as to the number of clicks that will result from those impressions.
